We exit the 101 West on Reseda Blvd and go north a few miles to Sherman Way, where we turn right and hit the world famous Reseda Country Club,
where we stop for a drink. This is a great club, built by Chuck Landis in the 70's from an old supermarket, with a huge ceiling, wrap around indoor stadium like club with many different levels of tables, a huge balcony, and 1200 capacity.
We then head on over to The Rock on Topanga Blvd and Sherman Way. They also have 8 pool tables, so you can rock and shoot at the same time. The Classroom is a great blues club in Chatsworth for the yuppie crowd with blues bands playing nightly.
You can find out who's playing at each club by checking our online listings, and if you call ahead to the booking office in the daytime, you'll be able to get the lowdown on the bands and maybe even get on the guest list.
After a good night of rockin' we pass out at a band's house in the valley, and the next day go down to the beach. Then, since it's early in the day, we decide to head over Topanga Canyon to Malibu, and then along the Pacific Coast Highway to
Santa Monica, where we first visit the 3rd St Promenade, a great place for tourists and for . . .
