Beach Information
Special Comments: One of the most urban beaches, there are lots of people, lots of noise and lots of stuff. It's great fun on the weekend. Also, the Venice Breakwater area has some nice surf and many ways to recreate. The recently renovated pavilion area is looking great. Community events and bands are featured there on occasion. A "roller rink," skate park, legal graffiti area and additional basketball courts once again makes Venice a great weekend beach spot.

On a strong south swell the Venice Breakwater will have some nice surf. The waves meet the breakwater rocks and wrap to the right out in the water. There are many ways to recreate near the Venice Breakwater. The paddle tennis courts are just one way to break a sweat. For $4.00 you can buy a day pass and pump iron at Muscle Beach, Venice. There is a yoga class on the beach in front of the Breakwater for a donation on Sat. at 10:30 a.m., bring a towel. There are also handball courts, basketball courts, punching bag hook ups, rings, parrallal bars, and a rope to climb. The bike path continues north and south.

Food/dining: There are numerous places to eat and drink on the boardwalk.
Restrooms: Restrooms are attached to the Muscle Beach office.
