An Ongoing Situation, May 5th, 2005
On April 17th, 2005, convicted stalker Ronald Dean Strickland breaks into Hollywood newspaper editor's home in the middle of the night and Tries to Kill him, and then gets released from jail with only probation! . . (LAPD case #050613538) . . . Despite his previous conviction for stalking and assault in Texas, and despite his recent arrest for vandalism of editor's property in Hollywood, and despite numerous other complaints of stalking and more vandalism made to the L.A.P.D. before the attack.

Outline of events
1. 1997-2001 Ronald Dean Strickland stalks and terrorizes girls in Denton, Texas, documents his own crimes on his website, and calls it a book. Then he writes songs about his victims to humiliate them further. He is finally convicted of stalking and assault, but was released early on a plea bargain, that he leave the state.
2. Ronald Dean arrives in Hollywood in 2002, enrolls in M.I. music school, and is soon expelled in 2004 for smashing the stage.
3. Ronald Dean soon pairs up with Alan Norsworthy, a scary character from Orange County, and they form a two piece band called VICTIMS OF THE CAROUSEL. They call their shows the "SMASH AND BURN" tour, and share a weird suicide bond of both having brothers that committed suicide. Dean writes songs about suicide, his time to die, and his victims. He is obsessed with his victims.
4. The band Victims of the Carousel arranged to play a song at the Rock City Awards, where they just shout "You're Almost Dead" about 50 times, and then repeatedly smash guitars, sending flying shrapnel into the audience. They then proceeded to smash all the trophies and stage, in front of the horrified audience. Flying glass, metal, and plastic rained onto the crowd. Dean and Alan were promptly arrested and taken to jail.
5. The City Attorney then dismissed the vandalism charges . . . for lack of evidence!? What?!! We, the victims, were not consulted, and besides, there was plenty of evidence. I was angry and began collecting statements from hundreds of eye witnesses. I presented this evidence to the detectives and requested that charges be re-instated, but am still waiting.
6. Ronald Strickland soon began stalking the Rock City News staff writers with taunting emails, spray painting his grafitti in front of our house almost every week, putting stuff in the mailbox, attemting an assault on our writers on the Sunset Strip, filing bogus complaints with the Police, and boasting about his crimes on email groups. We complained repeatedly to the Police.
7. Victims of the Carousel then booked a show at the Whisky a Go Go, but Ronald Dean and Alan Norsworthy had ongoing confrontations with the Whisky management, and the show was cancelled.
8. At 3:00 AM Sunday Morning, Apr 17th, 2005, Ronald Strickland broke into Rock City News editor's house in the middle of the night and tried to kill him. He forced his way through the door and immediatly tried to put out the editor's eyes with his fingers, rushing him across the room, gouging into his eye socket. When the editor finally got Dean's finger out of his eye, he fought back and subdued Ronald, who was then arrested, and taken to jail. Rock City News' editor received emergency medical treatment for his eye.
9. Ronald Dean Strickland was charged with "breaking and entering" and "assault and battery." For some reason unknown to us, he was not charged with stalking, or vandalism, or even harrasment. He was allowed to plead guilty to just "battery," and was released with only probation. This is a travesty of justice.
Ronald Dean Strickland and Alan Norsworthy are still seen hanging out at the C.C. Cafe and 7-11 by Rock City's house, just beyond the 100 yard limit of his restraining order, and to harrass us further, they are now scheming with the likes of Debi Stocker of All Access, promoting their band and still boasting about smashing the trophies.
CONCLUSION . . . WHERE'S THE JUSTICE?
Ronald Dean Strickland and Alan Norsworthy smash our property, in public, in front of hundreds of witnesses, and not yet charged. They grafitti all around our house, and all over town, and stalk us for months, and are still not charged. And finally Ronald breaks into our house in the middle of the night, and tries to kill us. . . and he gets off with just probation?!
