SLACK BABBATH
SLACK BABBATH W/FEAR FACTORY
at the COCONUT TEASZER
BY LUCIFER JONES

LADY DI IS DEAD.....
MOTHER TERESA IS DEAD....
BURGESS MEREDITH IS DEAD....
ALL THE GOODNESS IN THE WORLD IS DEAD .......
BRING ON HELL," declared Scotty Slam. Then Slack Babbath's drummer and the driving force behind the group's over the top antics, handed over his drum sticks to Ex-Slayer and Grip INC. drummer Dave Lombardo for a hyper rendition of "Faires Wear Boots".
But Mr. Slam was wrong. There is still some goodness, errrrr something good, and that's the recorded music of Black Sabbath. It is to the music of Black Sabbath that Slam, vocalist Kevvy Kevbourne, bassist Matt, and guitarist Sleepy T pay tribute. A whacked out, cracked out tribute with homemade props, demonic temptresses, pyro, MIA midgets, and a host of assorted accidents. Attending a Slack Babbth gig is like stepping inside of your TV set when Beavis and Butthead are on. The result is a sold-out good time had by all including VIP luminaries on Slack's packed guest list including Fear Factory, Robert Trujillio, Joe Holmes, John Tempesta, Dave Lombardo, Taime Downe, and members of Guns N' Roses, LA Guns, and The Electric Hellfire Club . This show was so packed (the line stretched around the corner all night) that we waited an hour just to get in. To describe the show fully is impossible but some highlights include Satan's puppet show: This is when Satan makes an apperance and tells everyone they're fucking Doomed. The Devil Girls: Porn Stars Holli Woods (Hustler centerfold 10/97) and Alyssa Love come out and do some unsafe dancing and grinding. As if that wasn't enough Dino And Burton (Fear Factory) came out and jammed Supernaut. Burton Hung around and sang War Pigs with everybody else in the place singing along with him. Kenny The Gardener sang Paranoid, this 7 foot tall hillbilly sings with such emotion and heart that people were passing out. Slack Babbath played a great selection of tunes including Into The Void (featuring the heavy guitar tones of Sleepy T), Wicked World, Electric Funeral and others. If you think that was it, you're wrong. Fear Factory Got up and played four of their own tunes. Dino and the Gang were in top form opening with Self Bias Resistor, the place went nuts. Stage divers and crowd surfers everywhere (Stage diving at the Teaszer, see what you missed) Fear Factory then played Replica, Martyr, and Scapegoat. It was so cool seeing Fear Factory in a small club and partying with Dino on his birthday. Slack Babbth will be playing the Rock City News Awards show Nov. 6. Don't miss this one, it could be their last show of the year and I'm sure they'll pull out all the stops.
