QUEENY BLAST POP
KRUNK

At the Teazer

By Sonja Van Lier

HollywoodÕs favorite strip band, Queeny Blast Pop, had their first show at the Teazer with an all new line up consisting of old bass player Leslie (now on vocals and bass), old drummer Pepper, and two new guys. They played a lot of new songs including ÒPersonalityÓ which I thought was a good catchy song. The songs that everyone loved though were old faves ÒI Know What YouÕre ThinkingÓ and ÒCrazyÓ. Check Ôem out. It looks like the glam scene is coming back again. So party on with Queeny Blast Pop!
Krunk sucks! ThatÕs how they always start their set. Krunk also played. IÕve seen them once before, and I thought they are a good band. The band consists of James Kottack on vocals (formerly the drummer of Kingdom Come), Athena Lee on drums (Tommy LeeÕs sis), Dave Whiston on guitar, and Tony Guarderas on bass. One of my favorite drummers filled in on drums, Vikki Foxx, formerly of Enuff ÔZ Nuff and Vince Neil Band. Athena is a great skin basher. I wish I couldÕve seen her play, but it was cool to see Vikki beating on the skins.
The songs that they did in no particular order were: ÒI BelieveÓ (One of my fave songs), ÒI Roc Around The TreeÓ, ÒGet Out Of My CountryÓ, ÒGeneration XÓ, and ÒTeesdale Blvd.Ó.
I strongly advise anyone who hasnÕt seen this band yet, to do so!!!
